Bylaws
- The Club shall be known as the Franklin County Sportsmen's Club.
- The Franklin County Sportsmen's Club shall be referred to in these Bylaws as the "Club".
- Officers of the club shall be President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board of Directors.
- The Club shall consist of individual members, eighteen years of age or over except junior members under 18 years of age who may become a member with his father or guardian.
- The purpose and object of this club is to promote the conservation of Fish, Wildlife, Natural Resources, Hunter Safety and Firearm Sporting Events.
- The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer and shall be elected by those club members presented at the meeting on the first Friday in December each year. All other officers shall be elected at the same meeting.
- The club meets the first Friday in each month, unless other meetings are necessary, in which case, all members shall be notified by the Secretary at the request of the President. If a meeting night falls on a major holiday, the meeting will be the following Friday.
- The President, with the Board of Directors, may transact important business, but said business must be approved by the Club at the next general meeting.
- The Board of Directors shall consist of 6 members: One of which shall be the President, and one the outgoing President. The other members of the Board shall be appointed by the President for a period of one year. The President shall act as Chairman of the Board, and Vice Chairman shall be elected by the Board.
- All Officers of the Club shall be elected for one year, and shall hold office until their successors are duly elected and qualified.
- No one shall be eligible to serve as an officer in the club unless he is a member in good standing.
- No person shall hold the Office of President more than two consecutive terms.
- The Secretary shall keep minutes of each and every meeting of the club. The minutes of any transaction of the Board will be recorded.
- The Treasurer shall be custodian of any and all monies, fees or other cash owned and collected by the Club and shall pay all bills incurred by the club. He shall make a monthly report to the club, of the financial condition, including receipts, disbursements and investments. The Treasurer to bond himself for the amount.
- The President shall appoint as many committees as he deems necessary for the efficient operation of the club.
- All Funds which may be contributed to the Club by individuals, corporations or otherwise shall be placed in the General Fund, unless specifically designated for some special purpose by the donor.
- Any proposed amendment to the Bylaws must be approved by the Board of Directors and then by the Club at a regular meeting. The Bylaws can be amended or changed at a regular meeting. The Bylaws can be amended or changed at any regular meeting, if such proposal is duly presented in writing, voted on and passed with a 3/4 majority of members presented. Neither shall any Bylaws be changed or amended at any meeting unless a quorum of 16 members is present.
- Elected officers shall be given a free membership the year following such office, if in the attendance of seven meetings during their elected year.
